The Words are Exploding

Gracie not only tries new words but masters them everyday. At her first birthday I was getting worried because she still wasn't even using "mama".
Now, only two months later, she says 'pup!' when she wants up, "down" when she wants down. She asks for juice when she's thirsty. If she sees a picture of someone she knows she identifies them if she has a word to call them (Papa, etc).
You know about "no" and "mine", she sometimes says somthing that sound like 'yes' but still mostly nods and says "mmm-hmmm" when she means yes. She can imitate almost anything, so we're trying to teach her "yes please" when asked if she wants somthing. She doesn't do it on her own yet but the conversation goes like this: Us: "Gracie, would you like ...(a cookie)?" Grace: nods "mmmm-hmmm". Us: "yes please?" Grace: "yep pees!"
She is so cute. I love to watch her grow. My baby is almost gone. She's running around the house, no more tottering. Now, words. I'm half excited to see all the new stuff, but half reluctant to let the baby stuff go. She's starting to not want to cuddle, too busy, you know how it goes.
Sigh.
